According to the Ministry of Public Health, more than a million regional health volunteers will receive digital literacy training to enhance medical services.
Dr. Cholnan Srikaew, the public health minister, revealed the program to a group of health participants on Friday.
They were in attendance at a Bank for Agriculture and Agricultural Cooperatives ( BAAC ) Memorandum of Understanding event regarding the volunteer smart card.
The 1.07 million regional health participants in the country, according to Dr. Cholnan, are essential for improving family and community health protection.
They must improve their online literacy and have access to a wireless application on their smartphones in order to keep up with international online trends, he said.
He continued,” This tool may be effective in facilitating their tasks by giving them primary info on the health status of people in their care in particular communities.”
Additionally, he stated that the government plans to expand its reach to contain “health users.” This service is one in which neighborhood wellness volunteers deliver medications from clinics to patients ‘ homes.
Each medical charity will receive instruction in the basics of medical knowledge, he continued.
The service may assist in lowering the number of people admitted to hospitals as well as assisting individuals in saving money on travel and waiting time.
However, he added that there will be a service fee of around 50 ringgit per delivery.
In the counties of Nan, Udon Thani, Nong Khai and Phetchaburi, the company has been tested. In March, he stated, the government intends to formally launch the health horse service in Nan’s Pua area.
