On 50th birthday, Temasek unveils S$150m gift to build ‘future-ready’ workforce, such as upskilling at-risk workers

The aim is to increase access to primary education for those from disadvantaged backgrounds, with an original focus on research, engineering, engineering and mathematics (STEM) in order to bridge business skill gaps.

Another goal is to increase habitat skills by working with “pinnacle industry experts” to companion with Temasek and promote innovation for the betterment of Singapore.

These professionals include “well-known people and international leaders” in fields like sustainable solutions and artificial intelligence.

These locations were chosen based on input from colleagues and several organizations on the ground, according to a Temasek director.

The announcement was made on Temasek’s monthly Community Day this year, which also marks the agency’s 50th anniversary.

REFURBISHED HOMES AND LEARNING JOURNEYS

More than 500 Temasek employees and related organizations took part in a variety of activities on Tuesday to offer back to the community in honor of its celebration.

Seniors who reside in rental devices at Block 344 Clementi Avenue 5 had access to new botanical-themed paintings along its space board, live music performance, and completely care packages.

Volunteers also “refreshed” the homes of over 100 underprivileged seniors who were referred to them by the Chinatown Active Ageing Centre and the Central Singapore Community Development Council ( CDC ).
