NARATHIWAT: On Wednesday at the fleet’s activities center in a town in the Rangae city, an official assigned to the special operations unit was fatally shot with an M16 rifle. The federal police commander, Pol Gen Damrongsak Kittiprapas, has mandated an immediate investigation.
The Rangae law captain, Pol Col Apakorn Wirupak-arak, and criminal soldiers rushed to the operations center at Ban Lamu in tambon Tanyong Limo to inquire after being informed of the event.
Pol Sgt. Wisit Kaewpi, 32, and four to five additional police officers were chatting at a local table when an initial investigation revealed that they were on guard duty at the control tower. Pol Sgt Tacharin Kaewkong, 32, stormed into the structure out of nowhere and started firing an M16 weapons at MSGt Wisit.
The victim was instantly killed after receiving four stomach gunshot wounds.
The additional police officers in the building rushed for cover as a result of the sudden burst of gunfire.
Pol Sgt. Tacharin left the base after the killing and hid the M16 rifle in a rubber plantation near. Later, he made his way to a drink store in the community.
Before traveling to Ranger Company 4505’s businesses center, Pol Sgt Tacharin spent some time in the community. He told the rangers about his murder it and requested that they set up his surrender. The Rangae authorities stop received a prompt report from the soldiers regarding the incident.
Following that, Pol Maj Nima Aming, the chief investigator for the Rangae officers, led a group of officers to the Ranger Company 4504 businesses bottom, where they detained Sgt. Tacharin. Additionally, they found the shooter’s hidden weapons.
The Rangae place was then used to detain Pol Sgt Tacharin.
The Provincial Police Region 9 director, Pol Lt Gen Nanthadet Yoinual, was given the order to launch an immediate investigation into the event in Bangkok.
