North Korea on Wednesday (Jul 13) recognised two Russian-backed breakaway “people’s republics” in eastern Ukraine as independent states, a separatist head and the North’s official news agency mentioned.
The particular move makes North Korea only the 3rd country after Russia and Syria to discover the two breakaway entities, the Donetsk (DPR) and Luhansk People’s Republics (LPR), in Ukraine’s Donbas region.
