North Korea leader Kim Jong Un says now is time to be ready for war, KCNA says

The DPRK will strike the enemy with all means in its possession, Kim told school staff and students, according to Kim, who also informed the students.

DPRK is short for the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, the North’s recognized brand.

He said that now is the time to be more adequately prepared for a war than ever before, citing the complicated global position and the uncertain and fragile military and political situation surrounding the DPRK.

Kim oversaw the launch of a new intermediate-range ballistic missile with good fuel earlier this month, which researchers predicted would improve the North’s ability to deploy missiles more efficiently than liquid-fuel variants.

North Korea has accused the United States and South Korea of escalating military hostilities by engaging in what it has called “war tactics,” a move that the friends have done in recent months with greater strength and size.
