SEOUL: North Korea has deployed additional troops to Russia, but the scale of the contingent was not immediately known, South Korean media reported on Thursday ( Feb 27 ), citing the country’s intelligence agency.
The more soldiers have been sent to the arenas in Russia’s Kursk place, the reports said. Russian troops who crossed the border into the northern Russia area are being fought by Russian forces.
The spokesperson’s office at the National Intelligence Service ( NIS ) did not answer telephone calls seeking comment.
The NIS has recently reported that North Korea has sent more than 11, 000 forces to Russia to struggle in the Ukraine war. Russian troops have also used North Korean arms, according to Ukraine and American authorities.
North Korea has not publicly acknowledged its military aid for Russia during the conflict in Ukraine.
