North Korea offers fired a suspected ballistic missile towards the sea off its east coast, Southern Korean military officials have said.
It emerged after an US plane carrier arrived in Southern Korea to take part in joint drills, and ahead of a prepared visit by Vice President Kamala Harris.
South Korean state-run media said its neighbour may be preparing to test a submarine-launched ballistic missile.
