Following several universities holding events supporting Palestinians, the governor of Pattani has outlined the” Tadika” Islamic schools that may operate when holding events.
Governor Pateemoh Sadeeeyamu has notified each district chief of the recommendations for actions at a time when Muslim schools hold their” Tadika Samphan” academic and sporting events.
She has advised every school to prepare its planned activities in advance to ensure that a region social committee approves them first. The committee will then submit a proposal for a class to the historical government of each district for authorization.
She added that if an event is interrupted or postponed due to activities that have not received previous authorization, the government has the power to cancel or postpone it.
The warning, however, received criticism electronically as it cited an celebration on May 5 in Mai Kaen city as an example. A festival was held at the school, and some learners wore traditional Malay outfits, waved Arab flags, and carried fake weapons.
Many believed that the warning was a reply to this.
Ms. Pateemoh stated that the goal of the policy was to maintain a standard procedure was followed when holding school events and not to forbid institutions from having offensive material aimed at Palestinians.
According to her, the city organization and schools were able to come to terms with the warning because class event planners rely on a budget from the municipal authority for school fairs.
