Fifteen little disasters shook Pai region in the northeastern state of Mae Hong Son from Sunday evening to yesterday evening.

No harm to private or public components has been reported.

The Earthquake Observation Division of the Meteorological Department said the 15 aftershocks occurred in tambon Wiang Nuea from 9. 56pm on Sunday to 3. 46pm monday.

The scale ranged from 1. 7 to 3. 4 on the Richter scale and persons in Pai city reported they felt the numbness estimated to be around 2. 7 or more.

They occurred at a level of 1-2 miles. The strongest scale, 3. 4, was recorded at 11. 57pm, followed by a 3. 3-magnitude collapse at 12. 08am monday.

The next two tsunamis of 2. 2 and 2. 5 scale were registered at 1. 39pm and 3. 46pm yesterday evening.

The Earthquake Observation Division attributed the tsunamis to motion along the Wiang Haeng problem line in Chiang Mai state.

Niran Chaikul, president of the Wiang Nuea tambon operational company, said an initial review by officials found no structural damage to private or public components.

However, he has instructed operational officials to carry a thorough inspection of quake-impacted places in their states.
