Nigerian man held for motorbike theft in Chumphon

Imprisonment follows a riot outside a local convenience store

A African man who attacked a convenience store in Chumphon’s Muang area on Saturday night turned out to be wanted for stealing motorcycles from a nearby city, according to authorities.

According to Pol Lt Col Wachirapisak Na Songkhla, a visitor police investigator, they were called to the Home Fresh shop in tambon Na Thung after being informed that a international visitor was causing chaos and property destruction in front of the business.

The tourists, later identified as Motasem Al Manaseer, 26, gave contradictory statements, according to the officials. Then they called the local authorities to get him calmed down and took him to a doctor to check on his condition.

Police from local Chaiya area immediately requested assistance from Muang district’s counterparts in the case of a stranger who had stolen a motorbike. The thief’s outline matched that of Mr. Al Manaseer.

The stolen vehicle was later recovered and the African man was arrested. Additionally, the arresting staff discovered 16 additional stolen goods hidden in the bike. He was turned over to the Chaiya officers place for legal actions.
