In a surprise announcement, South Korean music star Hanni stated that she will speak at a reading about bullying in the music business before the nation’s National Assembly.
The singer, who is part of the child party NewJeans, said she had made the decision without telling her professionals or her record label, Ador.
No matter how much I think about it, she wrote to fans on social media,” I believe going forward is the right thing to do.”
It comes after she and the various four people of her group complained about Ador’s care of them during an unplanned YouTube video on September 11.
The band scored foreign visits with airy, throwback songs like SuperShy and OMG last year, making them the seventh biggest-selling work in the world.
Min Hee-Jin, their leader and record label chief executive, was fired earlier this year due to allegations that she planned a hostile takeover that may produce NewJeans and Ador separate of their family brand, Hybe. Min has refuted the charges leveled at her.
In the singer’s YouTube videos, which has since been deleted, they demanded Min’s restoration; and made promises of work harassment.
Their manager told them to “ignore her” when she greeted the people of another circle at their history label’s offices, according to Hanni.
The 20-year-old reported the incident to Ador’s fresh key professional, Kim Joo-Young- but said her fears had been brushed away.
She claimed that I had no proof and that it was too late. I felt as though there was no one to defend us after seeing her ignore the issue, Hanni claimed during the video.
Supporters of NewJeans and the lady group Illit, who were rumored to be the antagonists, engaged in a verbal exchange following the claim.
As the column escalated, the company handling Illit, Belift Lab, was forced to issue a rejection.
” Illit’s managers never instructed anyone to’ignore ‘ NewJeans members, and the Illit people have always greeted NewJeans when passing by,” the agency said.
Belift claimed they had looked at a film that showed Illit’s users bowing to Hanni on the day of the incident, but that no video of their following interactions was available.
Additionally, the organization refuted statements made by the parents of NewJeans members that this earlier images had been purposefully deleted.
The South Korean Environment and Labour Committee, which has summoned both Hanni and Kim Joo-Young to speak during an inspection on workplace abuse later this month, gradually took notice of the string.
In her speech, Hanni told followers:” I’ve made my decision. I’m going to get the National Assembly. A political observation!
” I’m going alone. They still do n’t know… neither my directors nor the business. “
The singer thanked fans for their support, and reassured them that they do n’t “need to worry”.
” I’m doing this for myself and for the people [of NewJeans], and also for the Animals [fans],” she added.
” No, it’s certainly hard. I want to do this. “
