At least six kid children have died following a fire at a clinic in Delhi, according to authorities.
The blaze broke out late on Saturday night at a clinic in the American city’s Vivek Vihar location.
There were 12 children in the system were, senior police officer Surendra Choudhary, said. Another had died before the fireplace began.
Officials said legitimate action would be taken against the owner of the doctor who had fled.
Delhi’s Chief Minister, Arvind Kejriwal, said the blaze was “heartbreaking”.
” The causes of the incident are being investigated and whoever is responsible for this carelessness will not be spared,” Mr Kejriwal said.
The director of Delhi’s fire department Atul Garg told the Press Trust of India media firm that 14 fire vehicles were sent to battle the blaze.
But he said:” The fireplace spread very quickly due to a storm in an air cylinder. “
Prime Minister Narendra Modi wrote on X:” The blaze horror at a clinic in Delhi is heart-rending.
Earlier on Saturday, a “massive fireplace” broke out at a game arcade in Rajkot, in the eastern state of Gujarat.
At least 27 people have perished, regional authorities said. Many of the patients are believed to be kids.
