NParks also revealed plans on Saturday to improve 13 parks in Singapore’s southwestern region and connect them with curated style trails.
According to NParks, these routes may increase access to recreational areas and broaden the range of nature-based activities along the Southern Ridges and West Coast.
HortPark, Nature Park in Labrador, and Park on the West Coast are three of the 13 gardens that will be more developed into” place parks.” According to NParks, these are sizable provincial parks that have been philosophically developed to offer distinctive recreational elements.
This comes after improvements to three target gardens at Jurong Lake Gardens, Admiralty Park, East Coast Park and Lakeside Garden, were recently announced in 2012.
The following 13 gardens are located in the south:
- Park Alexandra Nature
- Nature Park at Berlayer Creek
- Park Clementi Woods
- HortPark
- Park in Kent Ridge
- Nature Park in Labrador
- Park on Mount Faber
- Parking at Keppel Club
- Parking at King’s Dock
- Park Pasir Panjang
- New extension of Park Pasir Panjang
- Park Telok Blangah Hill
- Park on the West Coast
Park Alexandra Nature, Nature Park at Berlayer Creek, Parking at Keppel Club and Parking at King’s Dock were newly announced last year as part of a Nature Park in Labrador Network.
