Prachin Buri’s brand-new pass road, designed to relieve traffic congestion and spur regional economic growth, has been formally opened. Highway 3452 and Ban Sang intersection in Ban Sang district of this eastern province are connected by the Department of Rural Roads ( DRR ).
The path provides a different course for riders between the towns of Ban Sang, Muang, Si Maha Phot, and Prachantakham. According to Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport Suriya Jungrungreangkit, they were recently forced to travel through the congested city center of Prachin Buri.
” This path may reduce traffic congestion in the metropolitan area and make it more convenient for the public,” said Mr. Suriya. It also strengthens the logistics system connected to the Indochina corridor while providing a crucial infrastructure link to promote trade, tourism, and investment.
According to Montri Dechasakulsom, director-general of the DRR, the task is divided into two sections. Between Bang Boriboon and Bang Decha in the Muang area, Area I extends 7.2 kilometers. It consists of two to four cement paths with reinforced concrete at roads, seven reinforced concrete roads, lighting, drainage, traffic signals, and health services. The price was 899.99 million ringgit.
Part II extends 18.45 kilometers through the Ban Sang area, beginning where Section I ends. With a total expenditure of 900 million baht, it has two to four cement roads, five reinforced concrete roads, and complete system for illumination and drainage.
The 25.65-kilometer route, according to Mr. Montri, not only serves as a strategic bypass but also supports the Eastern Economic Corridor ( EEC ) initiative, enhancing regional competitiveness, and encouraging the transport of industrial and agricultural products to Cambodia and the wider Indochina region.
He also praised the highway’s contribution to facilitating access to Ban Sang’s included agricultural learning center, the Bang Tan Royal Development Project.
The pass is accessible to the general public, he continued, and it is anticipated to lessen the strain on the city’s existing system while preparing Prachin Buri for upcoming industrial and economic expansion.
