National park worker shoots friend

Krabi: According to garden officials, a heated argument between two regional garden employees in this southern state led to one of them being shot and suffering serious injuries.

The wounded worker was shot half during the cooked exchange that took place at their home in Maya Bay, a well-known holiday destination, according to Yutthapong Damsrisuk, main of Hat Noppharat Thara- Mu Ko Phi Pi National Park.

He claimed that while his attacker was being detained by police, the wounded man was taken to Krabi Hospital where he underwent operation.

Atthapol Charoenchansa, the Department of National Parks, Wildlife, and Plant Conservation’s ( DNP ) director-general, was informed of the incident and immediately gave the park the go-ahead to address the problem.

According to an original investigation, Mr. Yutthapong claimed that the two workers argued inside their home before one of them got angry, pulled a weapon, and shot the other. The shooting happened at around 10 a.m., but it had no impact on travellers, and Maya Bay was still open.

At Maya Bay, which receives an average of 2, 000 visitors per day, twenty-four people are employed to take care of travelers.

Soldiers were also looking into the shooting, according to Pol Col Surasak Jaidee, the station’s director, and based on preliminary information, they were eating breakfast when it happened.

The two employees, who were companions and native of Trang, according to Mr. Atthapol, had been employed at the area for more than a year. He continued,” They were not intoxicated when the shooting occurred because they were arguing about a specific problem.”

He claimed that after the park alerted the policeman to the event, the shooter waited for them to arrive before turning himself in.
