NACC says top officials did bungle 'Boss' case

The infamous 2012 hit-and-run case was handled improperly by former national police chief Pol Gen Somyot Poompunmuang and Nate Naksuk, a former deputy attorney general, according to National Anti-Corruption Commission ( NACC ) chief Niwatchai Kasemmongkol.

According to Mr. Niwatchai, the Education Minister Pol Gen Permpoon Chidchob, who at the time was an assistant federal police chief, was also found innocent but on a less severe administrative charge.

15 people, mainly current and former police officers, were publicly accused by the NACC, according to a source with knowledge of the situation.
