Govt: No enable up until swindlers caught

The government reaffirmed on Monday that its top priority is to stop Thai call-centre gangs and that it will not be influenced by protests calling for a ban of Thai goods following the power, energy, and online services being cut short in the five frontier regions where these legal networks are based.
Deputy Prime Minister Phumtham Wechayachai said the protesters are free to express their anger, but their rallies does not affect the president’s decision to detach electricity, gas and the internet in Tachileik, Myawaddy and Payathonzu border regions of Myanmar.
” They]the gangs ] should think carefully because they depend on consumer goods from Thailand. Without that meal, they may have to take care of themselves.
” We stand strong on these procedures. Our emphasis is on the issue facing Thailand. This problem may be solved firmly,” Mr Phumtham, who likewise serves as defence secretary, said.
The minister claimed that there were only a few protesters, and that the government is now putting pressure on to stop the scam centers in Myanmar to protect the Thai people.
However, there is a rumor that gang fraud centers and amusement venues have their own producers and be open with lights on while the populations themselves have been left in the dark.
Thai officials are also cracking down on the entry of solar panels and energy into Myanmar’s frontier regions.
Before making any more choices, Mr. Phumtham promised to attend Payathonzu on Wednesday and Poipet, where a Thai person recently died from a high tower occupied by the scumbags, on Sunday to observe the condition.
” Power, energy and the computer could also be cut off to another border areas proven to be involved with the scammers,” said Mr Phumtham.
Col Sanphachai Huvanandana, president of National Telecom (NT ), reported that the company had cut international communication signals to the five border areas on Friday.
The National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission ( NBTC ) and the National Cyber Security Agency (NCA ) may still take enforcement action.
A assault is being pursued, according to Pol Lt Gen Yingyos Thepchamnong, director of the Provincial Police Region 2.
The operation comes in response to an investigation that found that Poi Pet-based criminals have been using Thai phone and online systems to carry out their con.
He claimed that the commission and the NBTC are working together to combat human smuggling, particularly those who work for scams and empty proxy bank accounts.
According to Pol Lt. Gen. Yingyos, the assault is directed at SIM containers, which are installed at various locations along the Vietnamese border. These devices are employed by legal sites to route calls over the internet that appear to be coming from Thailand.
However, the Myanmar military reportedly conducted a number of raids on illegitimate online gambling sites in Lashio, which are located in the northern Shan state, from Wednesday through Friday last week.
More than 80 folks, including Vietnamese, Chinese, and Myanmar citizens, were rounded up in the activity, which is part of broader efforts to combat cross-border legal systems.
Authorities seized equipment and items from the locations, including 260 mobile phones, 120 computers, seven sets of Starlink Wi-Fi devices, power generators and numerous vehicles.
