A top army officer reported on Monday that military ethnic groups are producing more illegal drugs to prospects in or through Thailand to help them fight the forces of the Myanmar state.

The insurgents needed the money, according to Col Meechai Nillasart, the Ha Muang Force’s assistant commander. &nbsp,

This fiscal year, the Ha Muang Force seized 151 million meth medications, a rise from 42 million in the same time last year. It even confiscated 256 kg of cocaine and 1, 350 kg of crystal meth, known as “ice”.

In borders fighting, the system detained 347 defendants and killed 29 criminals.

The governmental season begins in October.

Millions of more pills were reportedly kept close to the Myanmar borders and were being smuggled into northeastern Thailand, according to Col Meechai.

The Ha Muang Force takes care of the northern frontier in Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, Phayao, Nan, Uttaradit and Phitsanulok counties, a range of 933 miles.

Armed cultural groups joined forces to fight the state after Aung San Suu Kyi and the National League for Democracy’s military coup in Myanmar in 2021.
