After a movie clip showing him constantly throwing a beach dog into the ocean two years ago, immigration police did deport a Burmese man for prosecution.
Immigration police were looking for the person who was seen in the video throwing a puppy into the lake several times, according to Pol Maj Gen Phanthana Nutchanart, assistant director of the Immigration Bureau, on Sunday. He claimed that the clip depicted animal abuse and hurt the people ‘ feelings.
According to the assistant director, Thi Ha Aung, 19, accompanied by a member of the Watchdog Thailand Foundation, arrived at the Muang Samut Prakan officers train in Samut Prakan state at 11am on Saturday. The person claimed to be the one in the video clip, according to the authorities.
He claimed that he and a companion were crazy when the incident occurred late in 2023 on a beach in Chumphon, in the southern province of Chumphon. He claimed that while driving, he repeatedly caught a puppy and threw it into the water.
Afterward, he had a disagreement with the companion, who he believed the video clip was going to be shared online, according to Mr. Thi Ha Aung. He contacted the Watchdog Thailand Foundation and requested an apology before entering the criminal justice system after the picture went viral.
The Myanmar man was allegedly sent to Chumphon officers by the Immigration Bureau, who would pursue legal action in the animal-trauma circumstance before deporting him, according to Pol Maj Gen Phanthana.
