PRACHUAP KHIRI KHAN: Fifteen Myanmar males who had sneaked across the border looking for jobs were arrested by border patrol police on Mon, in Muang area of this lower Central province.

The arrests adopted reports from inhabitants in tambons Huay Sai and Huay Yang, which border Myanmar, that categories of illegal migrants were crossing into Thailand by day and night and being met and taken to other provinces by men generating pickup trucks.

Acting on the information, a team of Border Patrol Police directed by Pol Lt Col Tawee Panoy, commander of Business 146, was delivered to a shutdown gas station on south-bound Phetkasem highway with Moo 9 town in tambon Huay Sai.

They rounded upward and arrested 15 Myanmar men, who were charged with unlawful entry and paid to Khlong Wan police station to get legal proceedings plus deportation.

Police also grabbed a pickup which was parked there. The driver had fled.
