Myanmar ambassador to China died on Sunday

BEIJING: Myanmar’s ambassador to China passed away suddenly on Sunday (Aug 7) in the southwestern Chinese city of Kunming, according to a good obituary in Myanmar state media plus diplomatic sources in Beijing.

The obituary pertaining to Ambassador U Myo Thant Pe simply by Myanmar’s foreign ministry in a state paper on Monday failed to specify his reason for death.

Diplomats in Beijing along with a Chinese language Myanmar media report said the main cause was likely to be cardiovascular attack.
