MP Liang Eng Hwa to ‘progressively resume activities’ after completing radiotherapy for nose cancer

Mr. Liang entered politics in 2006 as a member of the PAP group that unquestionably won the Holland-Bukit Timah GRC.

Later, he was transferred from the GRC to run for Bukit Panjang’s lone seat in 2020. He defeated Paul Tambyah, the chairman of the Singapore Democratic Party( SDP ), with 53.7 percent of votes.

Mr. Liang was chosen to lead the government’s political committee on banking, trade, and industry for the latest legislature. The PAP established government legislative committees to review the programs and legislation of the different ministries.
