During the New Year’s holiday, the Department of Highways intends to start a portion of Motorway 6 close to the Pak Chong pass for free.

The 85 billion baht, 196 kilometer toll road connecting Bang Pa-in in Ayutthaya and Nakhon Ratchasima is 92 % finished and will be operational by June 2025, according to director-general of the department Sarawukt Songsivilai. & nbsp,

The department did partially opened an 80km part in Nakhon Ratchasima that has already been finished in order to reduce visitors during the New Year. The Pak Chong to Sikhiu, Kham Thale So, and Nakhon Ratchasima pass roads will all be accessible to cars without paying a toll. Earlier this year, during the Songkran festival, they were given a similar teaser of the Pak Chong – Kham Thale area.

A global network enlargement to improve transportation links between Bangkok and the northern region includes Motorway 6. An increased path in the project will aid in enhancing logistics and transportation.

The highway also links to the western Nakhon Ratchasima bypass road in Muang district and the northern section of the existing Outer Ring Road ( Kanchanaphisek Road ) at Bang Pa-In district of Ayutthaya.
