Most Thais have little confidence in govt: poll

According to an opinion surveys, the majority of Thais have much faith in the Paetongtarn Shinawatra management, and their main concerns are the government’s failure to fulfill its promises and the premier’s lack of political experience.

The Nida ballot, carried out by the National Institute of Development Administration, asked the public how they viewed the Paetongtarn Shinawatra-led state. Its trial was 1, 310 interviewees representing all years, professions and regions of Thailand.

Asked how much trust they have in the administration’s ability to solve the government’s problems, the solutions were as follows:

35.42 % said they had small trust

28.17 % moderate confidence

22.52 % no confidence at all

13.13 % high confidence

Asked for their major concerns about the government, the replies various as follows:

36.0 % of respondents said their greatest concern was that it would not fulfill their political promises or perform below expectations.

32.14 % Ms Paetongtarn’s age and lack of experience in politics/national management, possibly leading to her making wrong decisions.

11.83 % coalition parties trying to oust the prime minister

When asked whether Thaksin’s social position may or should influence the popularity of Pheu Thai in the current state, the responses were as follows: &nbsp, &nbsp,

40.23 % said it would negatively affect the party’s popularity
