A majority of people are not satisfied along with Deputy Prime Ressortchef (umgangssprachlich) Prawit Wongsuwon’s efficiency as caretaker primary minister, according to the result of an opinion survey with the National Institute of Development Administration, or Nida Poll.
The poll was conducted on Sept 5-7 within telephone interviews with 1, 312 individuals aged 18 or over of various levels of education, occupations and incomes.
These were asked for their opinions on Gen Prawit’s performance during the past a couple weeks as caretaker excellent minister after the Constitutional Court suspended Primary Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha from his duties pending the court’s ruling on his 8-year tenure.
Asked whether it could be appropriate for Gen Prawit, in his caretaker place, to reshuffle the particular cabinet, most of them, 58. 92% said “no” – with 46. 34% saying it could not be appropriate in any way and 12. 58% said it would not really probably be appropriate. On the other hand, 21. 57% said it would certainly be appropriate, whilst 16. 00% said it might be appropriate.
The rest, 3 or more. 51%, had no answer or were not interested.
Asked whether it will be appropriate for Gen Prawit to dissolve the home of Representatives plus call a new political election, a large majority, eighty. 34%, said “yes” – with 63. 80% saying it might definitely be appropriate and 16. 54% fairly appropriate. On the other side, 13. 95% said it would not be appropriate at all and 4. 40% were dubious.
The remaining, 0. 91%, had no answer or even were not interested.
Finally, whenever asked whether they had been satisfied with Gen Prawit’s performance as caretaker prime minister in the past two weeks, a majority, 63. 72%, said “no” – with 41. 46% not satisfied whatsoever and 22. 26% mostly unsatisfied. On the other hand, 22. 87% mentioned they were fairly happy and 8. 46% completely satisfied.
The rest, 4. 95%, had no answer or are not interested.
