After boarding an evacuation flight planned by the state on Saturday, 90 Vietnamese migrant workers arrived in Thailand from Israel yesterday morning.
The crew, which consists of 88 men and two women, departed Israel on Saturday at 11 a.m. on FlyDubai journey FZ1550. They then boarded the same trip, flying to Rayong’s U-tapao International Airport at 5.45 am yesterday.
They were greeted by U-tapas aircraft producer Adm Sithichai Tanchai, Traipop Wongtrairat, director-general of the Department of Employment, and other leaders.
Before being transported to the SC Park Hotel in the Wang Thonglang area to join relatives, the workers received food and water.
Nathapong Nuanchan, 35, who was struck by a piece of debris in the straight leg, was one of the first people to leave the airport.
With 10 different Thai workers, Mr. Nathapong from Udon Thani claimed to work at a community close to the Gaza Strip. On the morning of October 7, they heard bombs and gunfire. Israeli soldiers who arrived soon after helped them leave the area.
According to Mr. Nathapong, he had been employed in Israel for about four times and still had a month left on his contract. He declared that instead of going back to Israel, he did look for work in Udon Thani.
