Montfort Secondary School disciplines students for tripping, kicking schoolmate

Earlier this month, Education Minister Chan Chun Sing said in parliament&nbsp, that the Ministry of Education ( MOE ) takes a serious view of any act of bullying and violence.

He even issued a warning against adult killing in such circumstances.

Following popular Facebook posts by the minister’s relatives of the learners involved, the secretary responded to political inquiries regarding the two recent incidents at Admiralty Secondary School.

The incident occurred on January 8 when a student from Admiralty Secondary School allegedly assaulted a colleague, leaving the target with a head wound.

The abused student received a severe split on the back of his head that needed needles, according to a man who claimed to be the victim’s brother.

A picture of a student being taunted and kicked to the floor at the space board of a housing wall was posted on TikTok in September of last year.

Eventually, the main claimed that the incident had taken place in October of that year and that it had resulted in disciplinary actions. &nbsp,

A tape of a&nbsp, Qihua Primary School student&nbsp, being assaulted by an older child emerged website about a week later.

Five youngsters were later detained for their alleged role in a violence incident.

According to Mr. Chan’s statement in parliament in October 2024, there are an average of two instances in primary classrooms and six instances in secondary schools each year for abuse, both inside and outside of the classroom. &nbsp, &nbsp,

Bullying situations have “remained consistent” on average over the past five decades.
