Moment MP leads haka to disrupt New Zealand parliament

After Mori MPs performed a hymn to obstruct a voting on a contentious bill that has sparked protests all over New Zealand, parliament was briefly suspended on Thursday.

The 184-year-old Treaty of Waitangi, which was signed between the English Crown and the Mori persons, is proposed to be redefined in the bill’s proposal.

Māori MP Hana-Rawhiti Maipi-Clarke ripped up a backup of the invoice as she stood to guide the hymn in congress. People from her celebration, Te Pāti Māori, various parties and some in the common gallery joined in.

Hundreds of people have set off on a nine-day hikoi- a february- in protest over the policy. They are expected to arrive in the funds, Wellington, on Tuesday for a great march.
