Seereepisuth breaks relationships with Thaksin
The one-MP Sari Ruamthai Party has pulled out of the Pheu Thai Party-led authorities after its head, Pol Gen Sereepisuth Temeeyaves, admitted to being overlooked by the ruling party.
The group executive committee voted 7: 4 on Tuesday to leave the coalition government, according to Pol Gen Sereepisuth in a lecture held at the Sari Ruamthai headquarters on Thursday.
He claimed that the group wanted to leave and join the opposition chair so it could simply criticize government policies.
” It’s been frustrating to allow oneself to get walked all over,” Pol Gen Sereepisuth said.
The ruling group was not committed to reforming the police force, according to the former federal police commander, which was a sore place in the group’s partnership with Pheu Thai.
He claimed that the group was just interested in having the final say regarding who would be the police key.
While serving as the country’s national police captain, Pol Gen Sereepisuth had close ties with former prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra, the de facto leader of Pheu Thai, and his relatives.
He alleged that Thaksin and his ex-wife, Khunying Potjaman na Pombejra, had asked him for a favour in appointing senior authorities, which he obliged.
Pol Gen Sereepisuth likewise visited Thaksin five days during the author’s 17 times in self-imposed exile abroad.
He furthermore agreed to help some Pheu Thai officials, through legal methods, to have their social foes sidelined after they were content to studies.
He claimed that was one of the factors that contributed to Pheu Thai’s ability to win numerous House tickets.
When Pol Gen Sereepisuth inquired about whether Thaksin had offered him positions in the government, the former top repeatedly said he felt resentment toward him.
But, Thaksin overlooked him and did not promote him to important content in the police power, he said.
Pol Gen Sereepisuth said he also made two visits to Thaksin while the latter was receiving treatment at the Police General Hospital ( PGH), the first of which was in November of last year.
After 15 times of self-imposed captivity, Thaksin returned to the state on August 22 of last year. He was taken to the Supreme Court on that day, where he received an eight-year jail sentence in three different scenarios. Through royal mercy, that statement was afterwards reduced to a year.
Because of his neck pain, hypertension, and lower blood oxygen levels, he was transferred to the PGH on his first day there.
According to Pol Gen Sereepisuth, the purpose of his visit was to resolve a corruption grievance that former prime minister Srettha Thavisin had lodged with the National Anti-Corruption Commission regarding the appointment of Pol Gen Torsak Sukvimol as the fresh police chief. Pol Gen Sereepisuth agreed to drop the objection.
Because he is not being appointed to the Paetongtarn Shinawatra authorities as deputy prime minister, he denied slitting the knife on Pheu Thai.
He claimed that Thaksin’s move and how he spent a long time at PGH might cause legal trouble for a particular minister, department chief, or even a major hospital executive.
” All I can say now is I have severed ties with Thaksin after 51 long centuries of friendship”, he said.
