Ministry to speed up Pluak Daeng 2 Hospital work

The Eastern Economic Corridor ( EEC ) is served by the Ministry of Public Health, which has been delayed for two years.

Public Health Minister Somsak Thepsutin said this project, in Rayong province, is the ministry’s first-ever Public-Private Partnership ( PPP ) venture.

At least four private companies have expressed interest in a mutual investment with the government, according to Mr. Somsak, who spoke after a conference of the agency’s executives late. The contractor selling approach is anticipated to begin in the middle of the year.

He claimed the agency’s lack of expertise in the PPP purchase bidding process contributed to the delay.

We do hope that things will go as planned and that results in a favorable outcome soon, he said.

The Pluak Daeng 2 Hospital project, which is worth more than$ 2.64 billion baht, received the cabinet’s approval last year for the proposed PPP investment format.

A personal partner is given a 50-year control tenure under the PPP agreement.

The spouse may be responsible for finding workers, supplies, and equipment and will be responsible for paying for the rental.

According to Mr. Somsak, the ministry has previously funded the project with 230 million baht.

The doctor, located on a 26-rai-plot of property in Pluak Daeng area, did home 120 hospital rooms and is expected to serve more than 380, 000 people in the area.
