The Education Ministry made a clarification on Sunday that the ministry’s most recent letter does not” cancel” the school uniform condition as it was claimed on some social media accounts. Instead, it exempts students from wearing clothing on a case by case basis.
Education Minister Permpoon Chidchob issued a letter on May 16 requesting that all universities make their own decisions regarding whether to let some individuals choose to wear suitable clothing instead of clothing.
Siripong Angkasakulkiat, the agency’s spokeswoman, said the article’s theme was “exemption or pleasure of school even rules” and nothing in its content said the rule was cancelled. The initiative was intended to reduce the financial strain experienced by kids during the back-to-school year. For instance, if a family has five children, the parents may not be able to pay for all of their school uniforms at once.  ,  ,  ,
Kids who had not seen the agency’s news were largely misled and confounded by the bogus information on some social media pages. Many people believed that the government had permanently revoked the university uniforms, and that they had thus wasted no money.  ,  ,  ,
Kids who are unable to provide their children with school uniforms can discuss their issues and request exceptions from the institutions until they are available. The ministry’s notice to the directors of schools is intended to give them the assurance that they can make their own decisions, according to a spokesman for the department. The exemption demand will be taken into account on a case by case basis.  ,
