According to its boss, the Industry Ministry is collaborating with the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment and other relevant organizations to create a plan to support areas that have just been contaminated with chemical spend.
Nattapol Rangsitpol, continuous director of the Industry Ministry, went on to say that he is aware of the problems caused by the improper dumping of hazardous compounds in Rayong, Ayutthaya, Chachoengsao, Nakhon Ratchasima and Phetchabun. In an effort to find a lasting answer, the government has dispatched a team to monitor problem hotspots.
An action plan to prevent and ultimately solve chemical leaking in goal cases in six places has been developed in collaboration with the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, the Department of Industrial Works, the Department of Pollution Control, and the Department of Groundwater Resources.
He mentioned the locations at Win Process Co in Rayong, Aek Uthai, Aek Uthai, Suntech Chemical and Logistics, Aek Uthai, and two other places Chachoengsao were illegally dumped for waste and toxic substances.
The program, according to Nattapol, was approved last Friday at the Pollution Control Committee meeting, and it will be presented to the National Environment Board for further thought this month.
He added that Win Process in Rayong’s waste management committee, which has a budget of 4 million baht, had approved using that budget to handle and dispose of all aluminum spend.
Also, another 6.9 million ringgit has been allocated to hire a removal company to handle waste and toxic substances in Ayutthaya’s Phachi district, along with 4 million baht to clean up the area around the Aek Uthai buildings.
Additionally, the committee directed the relevant authorities to work with the Royal Thai Police and different authorities to prosecute criminals and help those who have been affected by the problems brought on by the Aek Uthai tree in Phetchabun.
According to a court order, the Pollution Control Committee has given the Ministry of Industry an instruction to avoid any use of contaminated land close to Win Prosess in Rayong while the procedure is being conducted.
Additionally, a working group was established to establish rules for when poisoned land can be used until it is healthy again.
