The decor and transportation officials have been asked by the House committee on area, natural sources, and the environment to provide more details on the Khao Kradong land dispute on Wednesday.
According to Poonsak Chanchampi, a committee member and People’s Party MP, the ministers were called on to provide more information relating to the dispute, as they oversee the Department of Land ( DoL ) and State Railway of Thailand ( SRT )– the parties involved in the dispute.
The travel minister’s request to know how the SRT intends to recapture the plots, which span 5, 083 ray in the Khao Kradong region of Buri Ram’s Muang neighborhood, is also being addressed by the House commission.
The DoL has been accused of wrongly issuing land titles to those who illegally occupy the plots by the road organization.
The Administrative Court has likewise ordered the DoL to work with the bridge firm to evaluate the plot limitations, and the Supreme Court has ruled in favor of the SRT in the debate.
However, the Do L’s land committee, which was formed under Section 61 of the Land Code to probe the issuing of land papers for the disputed plots, decided against revoking the land titles. The SRT is appealing its selection.
In light of the court’s ruling, Mr. Poonsak stated that the House committee will look into the Do L’s land committee’s decision to decide whether the land committee has the authority to halt the revocation of property rights.
He stated that the House committee will investigate potential law-breaking incidents, such as abuse of power, because it is aware of public worries about local leaders ‘ interference in the interests of a powerful political dynasty in Buri Ram.
According to Mr. Poonsak, the contested plots may be returned to the state in accordance with the Supreme Court’s ruling, which stated that the property is the SRT’s property and that lease payments to the SRT may continue to be made.
He claimed that the operation would be too long to allow the SRT to sue each occupant for reclaiming the land. On the property, 900 persons are reportedly residing.
