In response to complaints about deceptive sales of the high-end custom products, the consumer is being warned to thoroughly check the manufacturers of Labubu figurines.

When the Prime Minister’s Office Minister Puangpet Chunlaiad arrived at Government House on Tuesday night with a red Labubu doll hanging from her purse and a clean Labubu doll in her hands, the warning was issued.

She claimed that after Thai K-pop star Lalisa “Lisa” Manoban showed off her Labubu figurine on social media, costs of the puppets had increased, often in the hundreds of ringgit.

“ I would like to inform consumers to check suppliers. The boxes that are delivered may be real, but the dolls in may be false, according to the minister.

“Sometimes, false manufacturers disappear after receiving funds transferred from patients. ”

Through the Office of the Consumer Protection Board, Ms. Puangpet claimed that she was receiving concerns about deceptive supply of the dolls.

The common Labubu toy doll, which has pointed ears and serrated smile, gained popularity after Lisa shared a picture of herself holding a Labubu cadaver on Instagram.

Labubu figurines are generally 18 centimetres high, but there are also 18cm types. Kasing Lung creates the puppets, and How2Work and Pop Mart produce them.
