A group of people armed with battle weapons shot dead the governor of a tambon in the southern boundary province’s Narathiwat district on Thursday at his garment factory.
The fatal attack occurred at 11.40am at the Hand-in-Hand factory in tambon Rueso, according to the Internal Security Operations Command ( Isoc ) Region 4 forward command.
Wichet Thaithongnum, 55, was found dead with gunshot wounds inside a conference place at the shop.
Four assailants traveling on two riders made their way to the stock at Yalaebor Village Moo 5 in the Rueso area. They entered the conference area and fired bullets at Wichet, who was holding a conference with Nuree Dewadalae, the president of the company’s area business. After the killing, the people fled quickly.
Wichet, locally known as” Mayor Arm”, was a two-time president of tambon Rueso. He even held the office of owner of the Hand-in-Hand shop and was chair of the Narathiwat sports relationship.
The cause behind the harm is being looked into by authorities.
Local media reported that students frequently traveled to the manufacturer because its community-based business produced jobs and brought in money for local residents. In the factory’s acid, shops selling nearby goods were also present.
