GEORGE TOWN: Over 160 booths occupied by travel agents, state tourism organisations, hotels and theme parks among others are available at the Penang Malaysian Association of Tour and Travel Agents (MATTA) Fair 2022.
The Penang MATTA Fair 2022 will be open from 10am to 9pm on Saturday (Aug 20) to Sunday (Aug 21) at the Setia SPICE Arena in Bayan Lepas after a two-year hiatus due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
As an example of what is on offer, Angel tours chief operating officer Scott Leong said they have both local and international tours available for customers.
“We even have Muslim friendly tours to cater to everyone’s needs when traveling. Our domestic packages begin from around RM499 while we even have flights to Perth at RM999. It does not have to be heavy on your pocket,” he said.
Leong said those who attend the MATTA fair and buy packages here are eligible to take part in a Buyers Lucky Draw and win prizes such as two tickets to Los Angeles, United States.
Every RM500 spent on domestic packages and every RM1,000 spent on international packages at the fair would entitle the customers to a lucky draw.
There will be travelling accessories, hotel stays and sponsored meal vouchers, among others to be won as well.
For those visiting the fair from the mainland there are free shuttle buses to carry visitors to the island.
The three locations are Sunway Carnival Mall, Masjid Jamek Seberang Jaya and Jalan Chain Ferry.
There will be four shuttles from the mainland to the fair at 10am, noon, 3pm and 5pm as for the return shuttles, the last one will leave the island at 7pm.
