Concerned about the worsening of the Gaza War, Setha
According to Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin, the state is preparing a large departure of Thais in Israel as the Israel-Gaza war is anticipated to intensify.
He was speaking after presiding over the National Defence Council’s inaugural meeting on Thursday.
He claimed to have been informed that many nations whose citizens were expelled from Israel to Jordan and Lebanon have discussed strategies for returning their citizens. He also stated that the battle is good to turn into a local conflict in the Middle East.
According to Mr. Srettha, Thailand will evaluate the position and let Israeli Thais know if the war could escalate.
We now know that robots and cyberwarfare will both be used. We are worried that the war may spread to Israel’s neighbors as a result, he said.
He continued by saying that almost all Thais in Israel who requested relocation have now done so.
Nevertheless, he pointed out that the state is also worried about those who decide to stay.
The number of Thai staff who choose to stay in Israel is still unknown, so things are also getting more difficult. There are a sizable amount, and many of them work illegally, according to safety agencies.
However, that is not a major problem. The prime minister said,” Our main problem is to determine where they are so that we can tell them of how serious the situation is.” We are also willing to bring them back despite the fact that they are illegal staff.
” We want to make sure we can speak with those who are still in Israel immediately to let them know how serious the situation is.
Mr. Srettha said,” I may give the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Labour Ministry instructions to get their names and phone numbers.”
He added that he met with cabinet ministers in charge of financial affairs and was eager for discussions about how to address the potential economic effects of a larger war. The authorities is also working hard to assist Thais taken hostage by Hamas.
About 20,000 Vietnamese workers want to remain working in Israel because they are not in conflict areas, according to Phairoj Chotikasatien, permanent director for the Labour Ministry.
The state does not want any Thais it to put their lives in danger, but we cannot force them to return home, he said.
He continued by saying that about 60 systems have not yet been identified by Israeli government.
We hope there aren’t any Thai among them, according to the Jewish officials, who merely identified them as Asians.
21, 229 Thai employees are still employed in Israel, and 8, 637 had already left for home as of yesterday, according to the Labour Ministry’s Facebook website. 23 people were taken surety, 18 more were hurt, and 34 were killed. Currently, 26 systems have been repatriated.
Nevertheless, Sameh Hassan Shoukry, Egypt’s Foreign Minister, met with Foreign Affairs Minister Parnpree Bahiddha – Nukara on Wednesday in Cairo.
The two sides reiterated their call for an instant and long-lasting humanitarian truce on behalf of the global community.
Additionally, they expressed support for creative talks between Israel and Palestinians to come to a quiet and long-lasting agreement.
Mr. Parnpree requested assistance from his Ancient counterpart in securing the immediate release of the victims — both Thai and other immigrants— as well as exposure to the Rafah border crossing for the freed captives.
While Thailand praised Egypt’s active participation in the international stage, they discussed local issues of common interest.
In preparation for the 70th anniversary of diplomatic diplomatic ties in 2024, the two factors also talked about their long-standing assistance.
They reaffirmed their willingness to use current mechanisms for the mutual benefit of both to encourage participation in a number of places.
On X, once known as Twitter, Mr. Srettha reported that Hamas had called him to express concern over the Vietnamese hostages he was holding.
According to him, Malaysia is prepared to assist the Thai authorities in properly repatriating all of its citizens.
