
Singapore’s Marina Bay Cruise Center will receive its most extensive construction since it first opened in 2012, spending$ 40 million ( US$ 30.2 ) on renovations to increase power and enhance the user experience.  ,
The nine-month project, spearheaded by SATS-Creuers Cruise Services, the current terminal operator, will begin in the first quarter of this year, according to a press release released on Friday ( Apr 11 ). The functions will be carried out in small increments to reduce disruptions, and the sail center will continue to function on send call days.
Upgrades include more dining areas, larger berths and boarding areas, and check-in areas that can support two bigger cruise ships at once.
The unoccupied land in front of the boat center will also be converted into a floor transportation hub with more bus parking spaces and more than double the number of ride-hailing plenty in order to increase availability.  ,
SATS-Creuers, a division of Global Ports Holding, is a 60-40 joint venture between Creuers del Port de Barcelona and SATS, a company of SATS.
The SATS-Creuers ‘ operator agreement has been extended by the Singapore Tourism Board (STB ) for eight years with the option to extend it for an additional two years to support the investment. The revised deal, which was officially signed on December 18 last year, has the potential to lengthen SATS-Creuers ‘ activities from May 2027 to March 2037.
