Warning: Graphic and shocking information.

A man who was physically unfit to acquire 12 cane strokes for killing his five-year-old daughter may serve an additional six months in prison in Singapore as a substitute for corporal punishment.

The 44-year-old man was given a 34- and-a-half year sentence in April for abusing his child and her younger brother and for 12 breaths of the wood.

He had initially claimed the test would be the death of his daughter, but the prosecution dropped a lesser charge of criminal homicide after he decided to enter a guilty plea.

The person, who cannot be named according to giggle orders imposed by the judge, had trained in silat, karate and reiki. He had frequently blow, hit, blow and wood the children, treating them as “punching bags” for his anger.

Additionally, he kept the kids dressed in the bathroom for ten months, and they would take their own faeces because they were so hungry.

The prison’s clinical officer issued a certificate in May that the man has a degenerative disc disease and is entirely unfit for caning.

The prosecution requested on Tuesday ( Jul 9 ) about six months ‘ worth of additional jail time in lieu of the 12 canes that were imposed for the charge of culpable homicide.

Otherwise, the defense requested that the defendant’s sentence be commuted, along with Mr. Mervyn Cheong and Ms. Lim Yi Zheng from Advocatus Law, Mr. Krishna R. Sharma from Fleet Street Law, and Mr. Melvin Loh from Peter Low Chambers.

In addition to being caned, this means there is no longer any additional prison time required.
