Man who attacked officers with pepper spray arrested for alleged drug trafficking; weapons seized: CNB

SINGAPORE: A 30-year-old guy was arrested in Bedok on Wed (Jul 13) just for suspected drug trafficking offences after assaulting officers with pepper spray, said the particular Central Narcotics Agency (CNB).

The agency added that weapons were seized, along with medicines with an estimated street value of  S$47, 000. These comprised  about 141g of heroin, 181g of Ice, 11 inspiration tablets and twenty one Erimin-5 tablets.

The amount of heroin and Ice seized can feed the dependancy of about 170 abusers for a week, mentioned CNB.

The Singaporean man had been arrested on  Wednesday evening at  Bedok North Avenue three or more.

“The man had put up a violent struggle to resist arrest and bombarded the officers using a pepper spray. Officials responded with necessary force to subdue the man, ” mentioned CNB in a media release on Thursday.

Drugs and  various drug paraphernalia were recovered in the man, said CNB.

“Weapons which includes a knuckle duster, a karambit knife and a pepper squirt were also seized, ” it added.
