Early on Monday, a Thai driver was detained by highway police in Chon Buri’s Bang Lamung area after failing to pay more than 70,000 baht in accumulated toll charges.
At 1.30 a.m. on Monday, Highway Police officials led by acting chief Pol Maj Gen Jaroonkiat Pankaew detained the pilot, who was identified as Term Nuo.
In an effort to increase the flow of traffic on the highway, barrier-free M – Movement programmes were installed last year on some doors along Motorway 9 between Bang Pa-in and Bang Phli.
