A man was found dead in his home after being attacked by a half-bred pit bulls and a half-bred Rottweiler in Ubon Ratchathani, authorities reported on Friday.
The body of the 49-year-old man, whose name was withheld by authorities, was discovered lying face down in his single-storey residence in tambon Kham Hai Yai of Don Mot Dang area on Wednesday. He had suffered puppy bites to the brain, including broken lips.
Things inside the house were scattered, and the back door was left open.
His family initially thought he had been killed before the puppies attacked him, but they later came to believe that someone had killed him. But, criminal officers reported on Friday that there were no indications of mortal abuse and that excessive blood loss was the cause of death.
The gentleman had been dead for about six days before being discovered, authorities said.
During the inspection, authorities found two stray dogs in the region – one half-bred pit bulls and one half-bred Rottweiler. They were thought to had attacked the person.
Officials from the neighborhood livestock office placed both dogs on anaesthetic beds before weighing the dogs ‘ smile, which corresponded to the victim’s size of the sores.
The animal office located the dogs to stop identical events from occurring with other neighbors.
