A machine in South Korea reportedly killed a man after failing to distinguish him from the foods containers it was handling.

The incident happened as the man, a 40-year-old worker of the robotics company, was inspecting the machine.

According to South Korean media company Yonhap, the robotic arm grabbed the man and pushed his figure against the conveyer buckle, crushing his face and chest after mistaking him for a package of vegetables.

He was taken to the hospital, but he passed away after.

Yonhap claims that the machine was in charge of picking up containers of peppers and loading them onto pallets.

According to the company, quoting officers, the man had been monitoring the dinosaur’s sensor activities prior to its test run at the pepper processing plant in South Gyeongsang territory, which was scheduled for November8.

Due to issues with the creature’s device, the check was postponed by two days from its original scheduled date of November 6.

On Wednesday, the robotic arm malfunctioned while the man, a contractor from the company that produced the arm, was performing checks on the device late into the night.

Following the incident, a representative from the plant’s owner, the Donggoseong Export Agricultural Complex, demanded the establishment of an “exact and secure” method.

A South Asian male in his 50s was trapped by a machine while working at an auto parts production plant in March and suffered serious injuries.
