
A 30-year-old gentleman was detained on Saturday night in this northeastern province after allegedly strangling his 28-year-old girlfriend after returning from a five-day area trip.
Surasak Khamtanode was detained on Sunday for the planned crime of Kittikan Chapan, according to Pol Col Watcharapong Sitthiroongrote, the head of Muang Phitsanulok police place.
According to the station manager, Mr. Surasak admitted to taking Kittikan to Koh Chang area in the eastern state of Trat from Tuesday through Saturday.
He was quoted as saying that he and his partner battled for a number of days throughout the journey, and that their conflict continued as they argued on Saturday when they returned to their place in the Muang city of Phitsanulok.
He claimed to the police that his partner had threatened to kill her. He then squeezed her chest again, but she survived. He used a phone-charging wires to kill her as the disagreements persisted.
He claimed that despite having drunk beer to overpower himself, he was very reluctant to commit suicide. Afterwards, he fled the room and turned the air conditioner on while the body was in on Saturday evening.
Late on Saturday evening, police took him back to the room for re-enactment.
The suspect was well-known among younger Phitsanulok race car drivers because of his work with racing automobile paints. According to authorities, he had just begun dating the ill-fated person.
