SINGAPORE: A 67-year-old man went on trial in the High Court on Tuesday ( Jul 9 ) for raping his family’s domestic helper, then aged 35, after offering her wine.
Due to the court’s gag orders, the Malaysian man is suing five rape, sexual assault, and outrage of modest charges.
The defendant’s scenario is that the girl was alone at home with the accused on the day of Jan 5, 2020. The rest of the household was abroad.
The accused allegedly offered the accused woman wines and invited her to view TV with him. According to deputy public prosecutor James Chew, Tin Shu Min, and Yap Jia Jun, he even administered “certain product injections.”
Before supposedly launching his sexual abuse on the girl, the gentleman administered the shots to her on a couch in the living room.
He allegedly sexually assaulted and sexually assaulted the female over the course of a half-hour.
The lady did not consent to any of the functions, but the prosecutors claimed that the woman was unable to resist because she was feeling very giddy and weak from the alcohol she had consumed.
The girl was then taken up to her room and placed on the bed by the man.
The woman called her girl in a disturbed state after she woke up at around 4am the following morning. On January 8, 2020, she informed her firm what transpired when they returned home.
A video clip capturing part of the conversation did form part of the lawyer’s information.
The woman was taken to a police station on January 9, 2020, and then given a doctor’s examination, who will provide information at the test.
The prosecution stated in its opening declaration that they would gather witness testimony from the victim regarding how the crimes occurred.
They will also use information from the murderer’s sister, closed-circuit broadcast footage from the living space capturing the abuse, as well as the accused’s personal admittance in video-recorded discussions.
The prosecutors claimed that the accused had sexually assaulted the target while she was very ill and indifferent, and that the acts were not consensual.
They added that they would also show how the accused purposefully turned the camera in the defendant’s home to confront the sleep.
The accused will also request testimony from Changi General Hospital doctors who had erectile dysfunction tests on the accused to demonstrate that despite the problem, he might have raped her.
The trial took place in lens, away from the public and media, on Tuesday, as the sufferer was slated to take the stand.
The person is disadvantaged.
If convicted of murder or sexual assault by insertion, he faces up to 20 times ‘ prison and a good.
For indignation of decorum, he could be jailed up to two years and fined.
As the sufferer is a local employee, the man may face up to twice the maximum punishments.
Because of his above-50, he may get caned.
