KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysian economy is expected to grow between 5. 3 per cent and 6. 3 per cent in 2022, despite the expected slower global economic growth this season, said Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) chief excutive Tan Sri Nor Shamsiah Mohd Yunus.
She mentioned the projected growth for the remainder of 2022 and 2023 would be driven generally by private sector expenditure, particularly by tourism sector, which is expected to normalise to pre-pandemic levels.
