
Abdullah Ahmad Badawi, the former prime minister of Malaysia, passed away on Monday ( April 14 ) at the age of 85.  ,
His son-in-law and former health secretary Khairy Jamaluddin announced his death at the National Heart Institute in Kuala Lumpur at 7.10pm in an Instagram post.  ,
Between 2003 and 2009, Abdullah, who is also known affectionately as Pak Lah, served.
After 22 years in charge, he resigned as Malaysia’s five prime secretary, replacing Mahathir Mohamad.
In September 2022, Khairy revealed Abdullah’s memory.  ,
He claimed at the time that the announcement was made following a community debate because many people were asking about the previous party’s condition.  ,
