Pickup used to harm Sungai Kolok area office found abandoned

Malaysia has advised its citizens to throw off plans to visit southwestern Thailand following attacks and gunfire in the Thai border town of Sungai Kolok, a favorite destination for Malay. and in Pattani.  ,
Police Inspector-General Razarudin Husain on Sunday recommended people drop any plans to visit southwestern Thailand, Indonesian media reported.  ,
Indonesian security officials had intensified guards and stepped up measures at the frontier with Sungai Kolok area to avoid the insurgents entering Malaysia across the Kolok River, he added.

Early studies said three locations in the city were bombed, but details eventually emerged of a third attack, an explosion at a traffic beach behind Maharat Stadium that caused no injury.  ,
The weapons and shooting at the city office about 7.10pm killed two and injured at least eight military individuals. Four residents were likewise cofirmed wounded by the black-clad militants.  ,
A security official said the city business building and the theater building near were seriously damaged by bombs. The subsequent fires even damaged several cars and motorcycles parked in the substance, he added.
