Malaysian military confirms incident involving Palestinians at KL facility, says no fights or injuries

The Malaysian Armed Forces confirmed a March 5 event at the Wisma Transit Kuala Lumpur service involving Palestinians who demanded a swifter return home.

Videos of the affair, which took place around 5pm on Saturday, have been shared on social media. In a demonstration, they depict a group of Palestinians causing damage to property.

The government said the affair was managed with no fights or injuries reported, but there was slight damage to equipment at the hospital, &nbsp, media company Bernama reported.

According to the statement,” Malaysian Armed Forces ) soldiers and officers on duty started discussions with the Palestinians involved and the situation was resolved,” adding that the people dispersed around 7:30pm.

It exhorted the general public to avoid making up their minds about the event.

Israeli Ambassador to Malaysia, Walid Abu Ali, said he was saddened by Saturday’s affair. This is contrary to our society and is not our ethics. He told Bernama on Sunday that the Malaysian government and the Israeli embassy were doing everything in their power to assist.

Next August, Malaysia brought over 127 Civilians, including 41 wounded people, affected by Israel’s military battle in Gaza. The injured were treated at Tuanku Mizan Armed Forces Hospital, according to Bernama, and their relatives were residing at Wisma Transit, a military-run ability.

According to reports, the Palestinians at Wisma Transit and surveillance officers got into an altercation last October because they were forbidden from leaving the hospital. Afterwards, the person involved in the altercation apologized and said she was frightened because she couldn’t get in touch with her children in Gaza.

According to The Star, Home Minister Saifuddin Nasution Ismail stated on October 4 last year that the conflict should not be used as an excuse to send the Palestinians up to their war-torn land.
