Malaysian Army apologises after second vehicle breaks down on KL road

KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysian Army provides apologised after a military vehicle broke down together a road in Kuala Lumpur  on Saturday (Aug 27), a day after a tank malfunctioned and blocked traffic.

Both vehicles were involved in National Time Parade rehearsals.

The incident upon Saturday happened at about 11. 30am.  

An armoured car transport vehicle which was heading in the direction of Sungai Besi Get away Perdana broke down away from National Museum after its engine unsuccessful, the Malaysian Military said in a statement.

Mechanics were deployed to the place and the vehicle has been repaired at twelve. 30pm before continuing its journey.

“The Malaysian Military apologises over the 2 incidents, ” mentioned the statement, incorporating that it will ensure that such incidents never happen again.

If they do, the Army said the recovery team will be deployed quickly in order to tow an impacted vehicle away to prevent traffic jams.

A total of 129 army vehicles take part in the 2022 National Day Parade, stated the Malaysian Army.
